Slavia - Č. Budějovice
Goals: 58. Lingr
Slavia defeated Dynamo České Budějovice 1-0 when Ondřej Lingr was the match-winner with his second-half goal.
The joy could be shared with Lukáš Provod who started to his first game after 10 month-break caused by a knee injury sustained in the game at Sigma Olomouc last season, shortly before EURO. Ondřej Kolář started in goal instead of Aleš Mandous, the players started with special T-shirts in support of the club chairman Jaroslav Tvrdík who is currently recovering from a cancer surgery.

Slavia started better creating several chances and the pressure could prove fruitful after 12 minutes when Plavšić hit Konda’s hand and the referee blew for a penalty, but the VAR intervention resulted in changing the decision only to a free kick from which Lingr missed the top left corner.

Dynamo created their first chance in the 25th minute when Kolář punched the ball after a corner only to Králík’s legs, but the Dynamo captain missed the right post. Few minutes later Yira Sor went past the away defence again and passed the ball to Lingr whose effort was blocked by one of the defenders.

After the break first Peter Olayinka who latched onto a through pass and fired from inside the box, but Vorel showed his skills and blocked his effort.

In the 58th minute Slavia finally managed to break the deadlock when Vorel could not get hold of Plavšić’s low shot, punched the ball only to Ondřej Lingr and our midfielder thumped in his 12th league goal this season.

Slavia set the pace of the game in the second half but failed to add more goals. Yira Sor appeared in the biggest chance after 85 minutes, but his low shot after a turnaround inside of the box finished few centimetres wide.

Three minutes before the end of the regular time Maksym Taloverov received his second yellow card and the club will mis him probably in the next two games. Down-to-ten-men Slavia could concede in the 90th minute, but Havel luckily directed his effort from inside the box after a sharp corner from the right wing only to the hand of Ondřej Kolář.

On the other side the Red-Whites could double their lead just seconds later, but Traoré’s dangerous effort was stopped by Apes.

Slavia are now second, 1 point behind Viktoria Plzeň. These teams are expecting their mutual game right after the international break, on 3 April 2022.
